Cue Bid Transfer to 3N

The purpose of this convention is to have opener bid 3N so that the person who overcalled has to lead from his hand. This is more likely to create a trick for declarer, or to provide an extra stop in the overcaller's suit.

[I don't know about this. If responder thinks he can make 3N, it is probably because he is the one with the stopper(s) in the overcaller's suit and so the lead should be coming from overcaller's partner. It seems foolhardy to drive to 3N without knowing whether opener has a stopper in overcaller's suit or not

Also, if responder is willing to force game in NT, he could easily have as strong a hand as opener.]
